China Glaze Party Hearty Xmas skittles manicure
I know some of you must be terribly bored with all the China Glaze holiday 2010 manicures out there, but hopefully you're like me and aren't tired of seeing these festive polishes! I have a quick Xmas skittles manicure using China Glaze Party Hearty over some festive colours.
My hands are looking a bit lobster-ish here..
I wasn't overly fussed with skittles manis before but I think they're a great way of trying numerous polishes in one go and are a lot of fun too. It's also a great conversation starter!
And here too! ARGH.
I used 5 polishes in total for my mani. I started off with a base of Color Club Vitabase nutrient nail strengthener and then applied 2 coats of Ulta 3 Snazzle on my thumbs, Ulta 3 White Lily on index fingers (I could have used another coat however I was lazy and also I was going to be laying glitter over it so didn't bother), China Glaze Jolly Holly on middle fingers, China Glaze Midnight Kiss on ring fingers and China Glaze Ruby Deer on pinkies. I then used 2 coats of the awesome Party Hearty on all fingers and topped it off with Poshe topcoat.
All I have to say about Party Hearty is that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. I'll be using it again that's for sure! It was a little difficult to get some of the larger red glitter onto the nail but it wasn't too bad. I didn't think too much of Jolly Holly in the bottle and was actually going to give it a workmate who loves green polishes but I'm so glad I didn't! It's such a wonderful dark green and I don't own anything like it. I was also going to gift Midnight Kiss to another workmate but it's such a lovely gold foil I'm keeping it too hehe.
Thanks for looking =)

I'm so not bored with these! Party Hearty is so fun polish to work with. Thanks for this posting this:) I was wondering with what base I would use Party Hearty and now it's easier for me to deside:)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! :D It looks pretty and just perfect for holidays! :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Party Hearty as a skittles mani! It looks even more festive ~
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous and fun!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing your posts. Your manis are always clean and pretty looking.
:) I'm glad you're back!
Beautiful! I do own party hearty but all the applications I've seen so far were a bit ugly.. Yours, otherwise, is beautiful! I will sure be putting it on soon. I just have to decide on with base color *mmm*
ReplyDeletei'm still on the fence about party hearty..the problem is I hardley ever use top coat glitter. I use several top coats with bar glitter in them, glitter, hexagons, etc but I just never use them..so I'm not too sure about party hearty... ahh!
ReplyDeletebut I guess I have to decide soon b4 they stop making them.
btw I love love love your haul from hk.makes me droolz

How can I be bored with your lovely Xmas mani?! It's fantastic! Can't pick the best combo with Party Hearty as glitter topcoat. It looks amazing on each colour.
ReplyDeleteWow this is great! You can use it with all nail polish and make it more Christmas-y!

adorable!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had Party Hearty but by the time I got around to ordering my last haul, they'd sold out from my usual supplier. It's such a perfect holiday polish and looks wonderful over the colours you've chosen!
ReplyDelete@yokeMun: The collection really gets you in the mood for Xmas. I definitely suggest picking some of the polishes if you still can!
ReplyDelete@shiny: No worries hun! Glad I could help ;) It is SUCH a fun polish I agree but a pain to get off though x) My favourite bases would have to be white and the red I think.
@Tassa: I saw so many other bloggers swatching them over different base colours so I thought I would go one further and do a mani hehe.
@Freshie: I felt so festive wearing this! I loved seeing Party Hearty over the different bases =)
ReplyDelete@Rachel Marie: You are too sweet Rachel Marie! I am so flattered =) I'm glad to be back too! I missed blogging and doing my nails regularly while I was away. Christmas is such a fun time I just had to translate it onto my nails haha.
@Thifa: Oh wow I'm honoured! Thank you for your kind words Thifa =) the swatches I've seen of Party Hearty haven't been too bad. I probably lucked out with a good bottle that applied quite well! I was having the same dilemma so that's why I did a skittles hehe.
@Li Lian: I can see why you'd be on the fence about the polish. Glitter just doesn't do it for everyone and especially this type of glitter. I love it so I'd recommend getting it! Lol glad you like the haul post =D
ReplyDelete@Saori: Lol I think I'm more silly than cute haha! I get some strange looks when I do skittles manis sometimes =p
@How To Be Perfect: I'm glad you like them! I just love Christmassy stuff so had to have my nails festive too.
@Christina: Oh me too!! thought it was a I little strange seeing all the swatches before December but now is just right hehe.
ReplyDelete@Aysh: I couldn't agree more!
@Kayleigh: Thanks Kayleigh =) I know that some people don't like Xmas overload and seeing these polishes all the time might be too much haha. Yeah it looks slightly different on each base colour so it's hard to choose!
@*~ JuLiAnnE ~*: I love it for that very reason!
ReplyDelete@YoannitaL: Cheers!
@Danielle: Oh that sucks! =( Maybe try other etailers and if you really want it try eBay.. Party Hearty just screams Christmas hehe.
So adorable! I really like the gold =) xX
ReplyDeleteYour nails looks so gorgeous and festive.
ReplyDeleteI've just added your blog to the list of blogs I follow. I've been visiting quite regularly so the next logical step was joining!
ReplyDeleteI really like your manis, even though I don't sport too colourful manis myself. Yours somehow look cute.
This is really pretty! I love how Christmas-y it is!
ReplyDeleteLooks great, love the china glaze's. Always so good polishes, especially the glittery ones!
ReplyDelete@PinkOrchids: Midnight Kiss is such a lovely gold foil. I highly recommend it!
ReplyDelete@Green Tea and Cupcakes: Thank you!
@marox79: I really appreciate that you've decided to follow my blog =) Thank you! I didn't sport colourful manis until I really got in to nail polish this year.
@Alice: Glad you like it Alice! I wanted to get into the Xmas spirit hehe.
@Monika: They are the best definitely! I have sooooo many China Glaze polishes haha.
c'est tres beau
