Illamasqua Wink NOTD
Hi ladies! How has your weekend been? Mine was far too short as usual and I'm dreading going back to work tomorrow. I didn't get much time to do my nails but I managed to squeeze in a quick NOTD using the gorgeous Illamasqua Wink which I hauled in January.
Illamasqua Wink is a beautiful pale lavender creme and just the type of pastel colour I adore! These bottles are so sexy and square and how I long to own more as they would look fantastic all lined up in my helmer =p
It applied smoothly and was opaque in just 2 coats which is fantastic. For pastels I find I need at least 3 coats for opacity and to even out the streakiness so I'm very happy. I'm used to using polishes with round caps that it took me a little while to get used to the square cap!
I felt like some glitter but I didn't want to cover up the gorgeous colour so I attempted a glitter gradient with Rescue Beauty Lounge Frugalista. I really should have sponged it but oh well!
I'm currently still tallying up entries for my giveaway and the winner will be announced as soon I can. I'll be catching up with comments too shortly! I've just been so busy lately running around trying to get everything done. I really need more than 1 day off in a week but alas it's self inflicted!
I hope you're all having a great weekend! Do you have any Illamasqua polishes? What's your favourite colour from their range?
Thanks for looking as always!

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful color! Very chic.
ReplyDeleteOh that colour is gorgeous :') I have a similar colour from ELF, which I love, but it takes literally about 5 coats before it starts to go opaque, ahaha.
ReplyDeletexxx
Love that colour! ;D
ReplyDeleteLove it! It reminds me of Essence - No More Drama or maybe ChG - Light as air? :) I just love pastels.
ReplyDeleteMy fav from Illamasqua is Jo'Mina, I hope I'll have it one day. *sigh*
Love your nails, they are so cute everytime!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful mani. I love Illamasqua lacquers. Excellent quality. And oddly enough, even though I'm not a fan of black lacquer on its own - my favorite from the 6 I own is Boosh. There is something incredible about that lacquer.
ReplyDeletelove the collor and the sprincles! Realy cute!! XXX
ReplyDeleteI don't have any nail polishes from illamaqua, but this is really really pretty! want to try :D
ReplyDeleteGorgeous color! The square cap does come off so you have a round one to hold.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely colour! I love how sweet it is.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty colour.
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried any Illamasqua polishes but after reading so many blog posts on them, I think I need to pick up a few.
I really love the shape of your nails! Don't know how you shape it so nice..
ReplyDeleteThat is the lushest shade! Totally in love.
ReplyDeleteDon't have any Illamasqua polishes yet but already have a good, solid list of ones I want to pick up! :P
P.E.R.F.E.C.T. nails!

oooh it looks so soft & pretty! & opaque in 2 coats is awesome! i want to get some illamasqua polishes but cant justify the price... T_T being a poor student and all. at least for now :)
ReplyDeletethat colour is adorable! =D Have you announced your Birthday Giveaway winner yet?? xx
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with this colour *.*
ReplyDeleteWink is cute! I only have 1 Illamasqua polish and that is Baptiste, so I guess its my favorite LOL :)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty color! So perfect for spring!
ReplyDelete@Charlotte: I'm a sucker for pastels, especially purple and lavender pastels!
ReplyDelete@kamilkamilka: Thank you =)
@AnnKiins'♥: Berry Icecream is darker and more purple actually but from pics they definitely look similar!
@Mez: Sponging is when you use a sponge to apply nail polish lightly to the nail. It creates a really nice, light effect! I love lilac and lavenders too =p
ReplyDelete@Rachel Marie: I only have 2 Illamasquas and I want more >.<
@S: Awww thank you so much!!
@Christina: It would look fabulous on anyone as it's such a pretty colour! Thanks dear x)
ReplyDelete@Hantta: It's a very classy colour definitely.
@Alex: That's the problem with these colours a lot of time! They can be a real pain to apply unfortunately.
@xlittle.girl: I love it too =)
ReplyDelete@Ivana: It reminds me of both those colours too! Except they are definitely different hehe. Ahh I wanted that too but I couldn't only get 2 boo!
@Lydiane Gaborieau: You are so sweet! Thank you for your kind comment. I have many manicures that don't look so good too haha.
@Chris: I only have 2 but just from trying this one I completely agree with you. Hmmm I will have to think about Boosh! Thanks for letting me know it's your favourite =D
ReplyDelete@Jazzy E (hivennn): Thanks!
@Kirs: Thank you Kirs! Glad you like it.
@Amy: Even if you only get one Illamasqua polish it's definitely worth it. I hope you get one!
ReplyDelete@Anonymous: Yes for Chanel and Butter London polishes the cap is round but for Illamasqua the inner cap is oddly shaped (thinner at the top) so I'm not sure it's meant to be used that way. I don't know about you, but when I polish my nails I need a sturdy cap to hold =)
@Emily: It's a really sweet colour isn't it? I have a few that are similar in my collection but I'm still drawn to these colours!
@Melinda Stella: Definitely pick some up! Even if it's only one to try, the quality and colours are great.
ReplyDelete@♥ c.angie ♥: Oh thanks Angie! I don't do much at all - I hate filing my nails - so all I do is just file them straight across!
@Angela: I bet you do! There are so many fab swatches and the colours in their range is to die for. I want all the colours!
@Glory: LOL oh no my nails are far from perfect so you are joking! They just look nice underneath some nail polish =p
ReplyDelete@laheelahee: Don't worry I'm not a student and I can't justify the price tag either. I got these on special during their makeup amnesty =) Plus I had a voucher to use!
@Ayari/Fifi: No I haven't actually. I'm still tallying entries and there'll be a post announcing the winner when I've drawn it.
@Elsa.P: Me too! =)
ReplyDelete@Jackie S: Oh I have Baptiste too!! I only have Wink and Baptiste =p Good to hear it's your one and only and therefore favourite LOL.
@Varnish Vixen: It's a wonderful colour for spring! You can't go wrong with pastels.
you have amazing nails, jaja wish i could paint mine like you do
