China Glaze Up & Away Skittles manicure
Just a quick manicure for you all! I'm attending a 1st birthday party for a little girl tomorrow afternoon (oops just realised it's past midnight so today!) so I thought it would be fun to do a skittles manicure using my newly purchased China Glaze Up & Away polishes. Now I know that Skittle manicures isn't to everyone's liking - I think it's only OK - but I have been lusting after this collection for SOOOOOOO long I had try them all out at once. Plus a child's birthday party seemed the perfect opportunity to try the manicure out at least once so I can say I've tried it =p
I won't review the polishes now as I only painted 1 nail of each colour so it wouldn't be a proper review. But just from quickly swatching them, I didn't have any major problems with any of the colours and were exactly as I expect from China Glaze polishes - FANTASTIC! I love love LOVE this brand! All colours below are 2 coats and without topcoat.
Right hand:
My favourite colours from these polishes would have to be Sugar High and Light As Air.
Left hand:
My favourite colours from these polishes would be Heli-yum and Re-fresh Mint.
Thank you to Agnes for awarding me with the Sunshine Award! You are very sweet and kind, you definitely made my day!
Thanks for looking =)

ReplyDeleteI love skittles manis. Its hard to go wrong and you get to experiment or try tons of colors. :) Looks very cute. Have I told you how jealous I am of your lovely nail beds? Well, I am.
ReplyDeletePretty! Though I hate to say that you can find pretty easy dupes of these colours. Where do you buy your China Glazes from in Syd?
ReplyDelete@Steph: They are definitely bright! The perfect way to brighten up a cold winter's day!
ReplyDelete@Sandie: Thank you Sandie! I hope they sell them in the Philippines too, China Glaze is one of my favourite brands and I'm sure it will be yours too =)
@xnosugaraddedx: Haha what a coincidence!! Great minds think alike ;) I just checked out your mani and I love the colours you've used! Love how you've matched your pedi too.
@Puranki: How I wish it was summer here!! Glad you like it =)
ReplyDelete@Art of Nail: Awww thanks Mae!
@Ansa: Oh that sucks! Sorry to hear you missed out on it =(

ReplyDelete@Lacquer Ware for Tips and Toes: Oh you are much too kind!! Thank you for the sweet compliment =) I'm very bad and actually don't do much to my nails besides put cuticle oil or flutter butter on them. They are pretty dry atm due to winter!
@Joan: Thanks Joan. I'm sure there are dupes but I love this collection and wouldn't swap it for any dupes no matter the price!
That happy go lucky is divine.
ReplyDeleteAll gorgeous colours, and yes what a way to brighten our winters day.
Hope the birthday party was great and i'm sure your nails put a happy smile on everyone's faces.
Thanks for sharing.
I love the refresh mint and peachy keen! :) x
ReplyDeleteWow, these colors are all so wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous because you can afford to buy so much of these nice colored polishes. :P
@fierce nails and beauty: Happy Go Lucky is such a bright summery colour! The birthday party was loads of fun, thank you for asking! It put a smile on my bf's niece's face which is all I wanted =)
ReplyDelete@Olivia: It's so hard to choose a favourite colour isn't it? Thank you for stopping by and commenting =)
@Alice: Oh I can only afford to buy polishes because I'm frugal with many other aspects of my life! I always bring leftovers for work and don't drink coffee and I haven't bought clothes in AGES. I also don't have a car either and I cost cut where I can so I can enjoy life's little luxuries. You only live once!
I also try really hard not to pay RRP so buy off ebay etc. where things are cheaper. Having said that though, I have been spending WAY WAY too much money on polishes lately though =p
wow the color of your nails are very beautiful.. actually, i love to polish my nails.. but i haven't tried china glaze. i usually use OPI... is china glaze have good quality? which one is better, opi or china glaze?
ReplyDeleteplease do visit to my blog too and follow if you like it.
thanks and have a nice day
@Turquoise and Lily: Thank you so much! I think China Glaze is VERY good quality - most of my collection is made up of China Glaze actually. I can't say that one is better than the other as they both have their good and bad points, but I prefer China Glaze as they are cheaper and therefore more accessible to me! Plus they have such a huge selection of colours.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and commenting!
