What's In-die Box? December 2014 Aussie Christmas
Hellooooooooo everyone! Hope you all had a fab Christmas! What did you all get up to? I had a super quiet one this year. The hubby and I spent time with our families and then all we've done since then is mainly eat! Sooooo bad. I've had a few days off work so I took the chance to catch up on some blogging. Today I have swatches from the December 2014 Aussie Christmas What's In-die Box? featuring Glam Polish, Glittering Elements, Lilypad Lacquer, Peita's Polish and McKfresh Nail Attire lacquers. I was sent last years What's In-die Box Christmas box and I really enjoyed it so I thought I'd treat myself to this years December box. I haven't hauled polish in a while so I was excited for the box to arrive!
If you haven't heard of What's In-die Box?, it's a monthly nail polish box that contains 5 exclusive Aussie indie shades with a different theme for each month. The inspiration for this months box was an Aussie Christmas and I think the box pretty accurately reflects the theme!

Onto the swatches!
Harbour Lights by Glam Polish:
Harbour Lights is a gorgeous dark green glitter that contains scattered holo micro-glitter and flakie pieces that's inspired by the harbour lights of Sydney Harbour. It is STUNNING and I love the depth of the shade. It's my absolute fave from the box and you should see it under bright lights! The formula was excellent and application was an absolute breeze. 2 coats is pictured with a coat of Seche Vite.

Sun, Sand & Sea by Lilypad Lacquer:
Sun, Sand & Sea is filled with blue, red and gold glitter in a nude holo base that perfectly reflects its beachy inspiration. It's not like your usual Christmas shades which I really like and I love the combination of glitters. My swatch probably could have used another coat but it's perfectly opaque in 2 coats. 2 coats is pictured.
Seafood Delight by Peita's Polish:
Seafood Delight is a salmon creme with subtle gold shimmer through it and absolutely screams seafood to me! As soon as I saw the shade in the box it reminded me of prawns and smoked salmon which are 2 things that are definitely on the menu on Christmas Day. I found the formula a little watery unfortunately and I had to be careful when applying as the formula pulls. It dried quickly though to a semi-matte finish. 3 coats is pictured.
Christmas in Paradise by Glittering Elements:
Christmas in Paradise is a light blue holo with dark blue glitter through it and inspired by the beautiful Great Barrier Reef. The Great Barrier Reef is one of the places on my bucket list to see its clear blue waters and marine life and the shade is spot on. Doesn't it make you want to dive in? The formula was great and it applied smoothly to a slightly gritty finish. 2 coats is pictured.
Gotta Have Pav by McKFresh Nail Attire:
Gotta Have Pav is a creamy white polish filled with multi-coloured shimmer and white shard glitter. It's inspired by the great Aussie pavlova which is another item on the menu at an Aussie Christmas! YUM. My photos aren't the best unfortunately as my light was dying by the time I got to it so excuse my pics. The formula was OK but a little on the thin side and the shade reminds me more of snow than pavlova really. It was my least favourite of the 5 shades. 3 coats is pictured.
Details: What's In-Die box? is available each month from Peita's Polish online store for $49.99 (plus shipping) and is available both Australia wide and internationally so no one has to miss out.
Do you think the shades reflect an Aussie Christmas? Thanks for looking as always!
