Golden fruit salad manicure
There is something about fruit manicures! I haven't done one in AGES so I thought I'd go all out this long weekend and break out the fruit fimo since I don't have to work ;) I redid one of my first fruit manicures and went with a golden fruit salad manicure!

I used 1 coat of Eyeko Petite Polish as my base and sponged Scandal Cosmetics Heart Lacquer in 05 Gold Beam* onto the tips. Then I added cute pre-cut fruit fimo* just below the gold tips and some gold, blue, green and pink dazzling glitters* (aka gleequins). Topped it off with Scandal Heart Lacquer top coat* to seal it all in!

Having fimo pre-cut is sooooooo much easier! I love that there's a good selection of fruits in this pack.

Details: Scandal Heart nail lacquers are available from Scandal Cosmetics online store for $4, nail art slices are $6 and dazzling glitters are $5.
Scandal Cosmetics have very kindly extended coupon code “cosmeticcupcake” to receive a huge 25% off your purchase! Don’t forget that there’s free shipping for purchases over $100 ;)
Happy shopping!
* Product(s) provided to me for consideration but this in no way influenced my review in any way. As always, my reviews are my 100% honest opinion. My Disclosure Policy can be viewed here.

Tiffany & Co manicure - take 2
Hi ladies! Just a quick post for you tonight. I'm going to be redoing some of my favourite manicures that I did when I first started my blog. They were kinda dodgy so now that my skills have improved I thought I'd redo them! Plus I have a better camera now so better pics. Today is take 2 of my Tiffany & Co manicure and you can see my original manicure here. Because I'm tired tonight this post is going to be a light on words. I hope you guys don't mind seeing a few more pics of this mani =)

I used a coat of Eyeko Petite Polish as a sheer base on all fingers except ring fingers. I freehanded a French tip using China Glaze For Audrey on all fingers except ring fingers where I used 2 coats for the entire finger instead. I then stamped bow designs using Konad plate m59 and Konad Special polish in white and added a silver rhinestone to the middle of the bows. I topped it off with a coat of Konad Special polish topcoat to prevent any streaks and a coat of Color Club Vivid Intensifying topcoat. Unfortunately my topcoats dried bubbly but you can't really tell in my pics.

I hope you enjoyed seeing this mani take 2! I loved this mani first time around and I love it even more this time =D Looking at my old mani, I realise that my stamping and polishing skills have improved OUT OF THIS WORLD which is nice! Plus the condition of my nails is a lot better too.
What manis would you like to see me redo? Let me know in the comments!
Thanks for looking as always ladies!

An apple a day keeps the doctor away..
I have a thing for fruit manicures for some reason - see some old manis here, here and here - and today I have an inspired apple manicure for you all! I saw this beautiful apple manicure on Pretty Project tumblr (a fantastic source for nail inspiration) submitted by Rexi Nails and just knew I had to try it out myself. It is so freaking cute!! You can check out Rexi's tumblr here. I've tried googling Rexi Nails but to no avail unfortunately. If someone knows the creator of this pretty manicure please point me to them/their blog/tumblr!!. Here is my version =)

I started off with a base coat of Eyeko Nude polish. I then used a small nail art brush from Born Pretty Store to draw the tops of the apples using China Glaze Phat Santa. I don't have OPI Big Apple Red unfortunately! I then filled in the remainder of the apples using Phat Santa.
For accent ring finger and thumb I added a coat of sparkly China Glaze Ruby Pumps. I used the small nail art brush from Born Pretty Store again and Ulta 3 chocolate cake to draw the stalks. I added a green teardrop rhinestone for the leaf. Final touch was the shine spots which I did using a dotting tool from Born Pretty Store and Kiss nail art striper in white.

Close up of accent ring finger:

My pictures in this post you may notice are from two different cameras. My sister was very nice to help me take some shots using her DSLR! We had a good time doing a little "photo shoot" haha. And gosh you can really notice the difference in quality between the two cameras! I love my camera to pieces but boy do I need to learn how to use a DSLR..

I absolutely love doing inspired nails. I'm not the most imaginative person and I struggle for ideas at times so attempting to recreate a nail masterpiece is always fun and gives me an excellent challenge! It also allows me to link to great blogs and nail enthusiasts!
Where do you get nail inspiration from? Thanks for looking as always!! =)

Pink and green floral manicure
A super quick post tonight for you ladies - I am super exhausted this week! I felt like doing a pink and green manicure a few days ago and I thought I'd do some quick floral stamping too. I'm stamping much faster these days I must say!

I used Eyeko Vintage polish and China Glaze Empowerment on alternating fingers for both hands. I then stamped full floral design from Bundle Monster plate BM-224 using China Glaze Metallic Muse on the mint green and China Glaze Admire on the pink. You can't really see the different stamping colours but oh well!

Thanks for looking as always! Have a great weekend ladies =D

Pretty in Pink nails for High Tea
Hi ladies! How was your weekend? Mine went by FAR too quickly unfortunately. I had to reschedule my plans for Saturday as I needed to rest up but my ankle is feeling so much better now so it was worth the sacrifice x) Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending a blogger meet up along with 14 other Sydney beauty bloggers for a spot of High Tea at The Victoria Room in Darlinghurst. I decided to go for some pretty pink nails to fit in with the occasion!

I stuffed up my index finger but you can't really tell in the pics, my mani actually looks better in my pics than it did in real life! What I used for my manicure:

Pinky: 2 coats of China Glaze Something Sweet with full floral image from Konad plate m71 using China Glaze Admire.
Ring finger: 2 coats of OPI Alpine Snow. I then created a rhinestone bow using silver and pink rhinestones.
Middle finger: 2 coats of China Glaze Something Sweet topped with 2 coats of the amazing Deborah Lippmann Glitter in the Air. The pastel blue base of GITA turned the pink base somewhat lavender-ish which was kinda nice!
Index finger: 2 coats of China Glaze Something Sweet as base. I then stamped lace design from Konad plate m71 using Konad Special Polish in white. I stamped it crooked!! x(
Thumb: 2 coats of China Glaze Something Sweet as a base. I then freehanded a French tip using Eyeko Chi Chi polish and added silver glitter to the smile line using Kiss nail art striper in silver glitter.

I love high tea but I’ve never been to The Victoria Rooms so I was looking forward to trying it out. Unfortunately I didn’t take too many photos because the Victoria Rooms is just SO darned dark which means photos turn out crappy. The lack of light is all part of the ambiance I’m sure but I like to actually see what I’m eating and who I’m talking to! The food was delicious and the company was great though.

We also did a little swap and I picked up a few goodies which was nice!

Big thanks to Sara-May for organising it! Can’t wait for the next meet up =) What did you get up to on the weekend? Also, happy 4th of July to my US readers!!

March hauls
Just a quick post today to show you my March hauls! I’m still on my budget so my haul was relatively mini for March. I did go over my budget a bit however as it was my birthday hehe. I've been mostly good though! In March, I made my 1st Eyeko haul; took advantage of the Cherry Culture sale and D also gifted me with some OPI's!!

I had a really bad day of work early on in the month so I decided to finally get myself and my sis some items from Eyeko. It worked out perfectly because there just happened to be a 20% off code too! Woot! I love when impulse buying works out so well ;) It arrived super quickly too and the products are just as cute as I expected! I got:

Eyeko Love London set: My sis got this set too. It contains Eyeko Punk Polish, Liptastik Hot Lips, Cheeky Colour in Glow Getter, Big Eyes Mascara and Graffiti eyeliner pen in jet black.

Eyeko VIP set: Contains Eyeko canvas tote bag (my sis stole this as soon as it came!), Petite Polish, Vintage Polish, Eyeko Creme with Extra Glow, Magic Mascara, Graffiti eyeliner pen in purple, London Lips Knightsbridge and Fat Balm in Strawberry.

I took advantage of Cherry Culture's 20% off sale and crossed off these Milani lacquers from my wishlist in one go!! Milani Jewel FX in Gems and Silver and Milani One Coat Glitter in Purple Gleam and Blue Flash.

D crossed these off my wish list yay!! Gotta love a man who pays attention to my nail polish lemmings =p OPI DS Signature and OPI Man of La Mancha.

Lastly I picked up Ulta 3 twilight fever which is another supposed dupe for Chanel Paradoxal but for a fraction of the price. I just had to pick it up, I mean it was only $2!
A word of warning - work has been extra busy lately and I have to take some models of care and assessmentcrap reading home to study so I won't be posting as regularly for the time being. It really annoys me when I have to take work home because a) I'm not paid for it and b) my free time is my own! And I have to do it because I'm going to be assessed on it in a few weeks GRRRR. I will probably be whiny on Twitter lol. Apologies in advance! Replies to comments will be a little slow too =(
Have you tried Eyeko products before? What are you favourites? Have you hauled anything in March? Thanks for looking as always and don't forget to enter my Glitter Gal giveaway!
