Guillaume at Bennelong, Sydney
Some food porn for you all today! In September my foodie friends Anita, Jade and I headed to Guillaume at Bennelong for dinner. It had been months of planning and after a few reschedules we FINALLY made it there! We decided to go with the degustation but in particular we were after their famous Paris mash and let me tell you - it was freaking AMAZING and the meal did not disappoint. As usual, I'm not responsible for any drooling caused by my pics!
Brioche with caramelised onions:
A round of mocktails which were unfortunately very disappointing!
Amuse bouche of oysters with cucumber and yuzu cream:
Basil infused yellowfin tuna with soy and mustard seed vinaigrette:
Royal of globe artichoke with mud crab, barigoule vinaigrette:
Scallops with lemon emulsion, watercress veloute, Sterling caviar:
John Dory with carrot and ginger puree, coriander, pomme allumettes:
Grimaud duck with sweet potato and foie gras puree, figs, radicchio, radish, balsamic jus:
Paris mash with WA truffles!!!!! Need I say more. The mash was buttery and velvety smooth and the best mash I've ever had. I think the 3 of us could have polished a whole bowl off each!
Deboned rib eye of Tajima Wagyu Beef:
Fresh raspberries with pistachio gateaux, vanilla cream, crème brûlée:
Valrhona chocolate soufflé:
It doesn't look very pretty because I shouldn't have placed the ice-cream myself (haha!) but it tasted fantastic. I was full to bursting by the end of the meal and JUST managed to finish it off!
The food was amazing (beautiful mash will get me EVERY TIME) and my favourite dishes were the tuna, royal globe of artichoke with mud crab and the fresh raspberries dessert. I must say the atmosphere wasn't as good as Tetsuyas or Quay but I'll definitely be back for lunch I think! Jade has reviewed our meal properly and you can check out her post here!
Have you had any amazing meals recently? Thanks for looking as always!

Yep, I blame you for my drooling. The Paris Mash looks delectable, I'll have to try it next time I head up to Sydney. The duck also looks quite nice!
