Essie Braziliant collection: Absolutely Shore & Meet Me At Sunset swatches and review
Hi ladies! Today I have some quick swatches for you of two polishes from the Essie Braziliant collection that were released for Summer 2011 - Absolutely Shore and Meet Me At Sunset.
What they say:
"This summer, it's all about daring, sexy colour. Cultivate your inner glamazon with colours infused with the seductive beauty of Brazil. The super-chic tropical nation is the ideal setting for a stunning array of six flawless, jewel-tone shades. Bold oranges and risque pinks transport you to paradise with the stroke of a brush.
"When the temperature soars, I embrace the heat as the perfect excuse to play with fiery colours," essie brand colour guru, Essie Weingarten explains. "Summer colour should pop, sizzle and be brazenly alluring." Imagine yourself diving into crystalline azure waters and cavorting on white quartz beaches. Just forget the plane ticket and escape with colour!"
Absolutely Shore is described as a "pale, sea foam green" which I think is a great description of the colour. It is such a gorgeous colour! 3 coats is pictured.
Close up:
Meet Me At Sunset is a very intense orangey-red. 2 coats is pictured however 1 thick coat would suffice.

Overall: Absolutely Shore had a slightly streaky formula so you need to be careful applying it but you get this with most light shades! I'd suggest either doing 3 thin coats or a thin 1st coat followed by a medium 2nd coat to even the polish out. The colour is a great way to ease into wearing greens I think if you don't want to wear brights or can't if you work in a more corporate environment. But it's just great to wear anyway because it's such a pretty colour!
Meet Me At Sunset had a fantastic formula and applied wonderfully. If you're careful you could get away with just 1 coat. It's a fantastic pedi colour and it's what I'm rocking right now actually!
I enjoyed these colours and they're great for Summer. The other colours in the collection look fantastic too! The brush as I find with other Essie polishes is wonderful to use and very minimal cleanup was needed. Dry time was excellent and they dried to a very glossy finish.
Details: The Essie Braziliant collection is available now nationally from Myer, Hairhouse Warehouse stores and selected salons for $18.95.
US ladies can purchase Essie nail polishes from the Essie online store for $8US.
Product(s) sent to me for consideration but this in no way influenced my review in any way. As always, my reviews are my 100% honest opinion. My Disclosure Policy can be viewed here.
