Everyday neutrals with a pop of purple!
This post is sponsored by Nuffnang and Clearasil.
When it comes to everyday makeup less is definitely more for me. I never have enough time for a full face so I normally use a tinted moisturiser or a really light coverage foundation and neutral colours as it’s simple to apply and still allows my skin to shine through. I’ve been trialling the new Clearasil PerfectaWash recently which has kept my pesky blemishes at bay. It’s been scientifically developed to dispense just the right balance of active ingredients to help fight those blemishes while still nourishing your skin which has made it easy for me to get away with using only a light coverage base which I love!
To feel comfortable with different makeup looks, I think it’s key to start off with a good canvas and for me it’s all about the skin. When I was younger my skin was nowhere near as well maintained and I was super conscious of that fact. Now that I’m older I realise that I should have invested my time in my skin - instead I spent most of the time applying makeup (badly!) to cover up my blemishes. Not only did it look terrible but I never felt confident.
The new Clearasil PerfectaWash can help you to create that perfect canvas to achieve that glowing clear skin that we all want. I’m sure you ladies agree that when you’re having a good skin day you just feel SO much more confident!
It comes with a unique automated face wash dispenser that delivers exactly 1.5mls of product each time. A recent Clearasil scientific trial showed that 1 in 3 people use too much face wash and I know I’m guilty of that!
It comes in two formulas – Super Fruit Extract (which is pictured) not only smells fantastic it contains raspberry and cranberry which are full of antioxidants to help maintain healthy and radiant looking skin; while Soothing Plant Extract contains enough active ingredient to clear breakouts while still being gentle on the skin. Both formulas are dermatologist tested and perfect for all young adult skin types to help get that glowing skin we all want!
I tend to stick to neutrals for everyday makeup as it’s fail safe and as I’m still not very confident with colour yet! I’ve been trying to mix things up a bit though lately by slowly adding in some colour to my everyday look. To ease myself into it I’ve loved using purple coloured liner for a pop of purple!
What I used for this look:
Face:
I started off by using Make Up For Ever Face & Body foundation in 20 for a very light coverage base and concealed my blemishes by using MAC Cover-Up concealer in NC20. I set my foundation with Face of Australia Translucent Powder and I highlighted the tops of my cheekbones using Bobbi Brown Shimmer Cheek Glow in Miami. I couldn’t forget blush which is MAC Beauty Powder in Summer Rose.
Eyes:
I primed my lids by using Elf Eyelid primer and applied one of my favourite cream shadows Benefit Creaseless Cream shadow in Birthday Suit as a base. I lined my eyes using Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On shadow pencil in Delinquent and softened it by smudging the gorgeous purple from the The Original Sleek Eyeshadow Palette. I finished it off by curling my lashes and using 2 coats of Dolly Wink Long mascara on my top lashes and a coat of Clinique Bottom Lash mascara on my bottom lashes.
Lips:
I moisturised my lips and applied Revlon Lip Butter in Cotton Candy to complete the look! It’s really simple and great for colour challenged girls like me to add a pop of colour to an everyday look. It doesn’t take much added time either!

Lilac and gold floral manicure
It's Spring here in Australia and the gorgeous weather just puts me in the mood for girlie nails! It's not like I ever need an excuse to wear pinks, pastels and florals though haha. I did a quick NOTD using one of my new favourite Aussie brands Hello Darling for a subtle floral manicure.
I used 2 coats of Hello Darling The First Corsage which is a BEAUTIFUL and delicate lilac - full swatches to come. I stamped full floral image from Bundle Monster plate BM-205 using China Glaze Passion. You can't really see the stamping that well in my pics doh.
I hope you're all having a great weekend!

Ladurée Patisserie, Sydney
I am a huge lover of macarons so you can imagine my excitement when I heard that iconic French brand Ladurée was opening in Sydney. Yep I nearly lost my s**t haha! It opened last week in Westfield Sydney and on the weekend I stopped by with Anita and Angela to check it out. I had to snap a few pics of course lol. I didn't bring my camera so iPhone pics will have to suffice ;)
Of course they were DELICOUS and at $3.20 each are slightly pricier than your average macaron but still very very reasonable. I wanted to get 2 dozen but just went for 8 lol. My favourites were salted caramel and the marshmallow filled ones - just so damn good! We went early Saturday morning and the wait time was only about 15-20mins. If you're planning to go definitely the earlier the better!
I am waaaaaaaaaaay behind on posts it's not funny. I fail as a blogger HAHA! I hope you're all doing well =)

Candy stripe nails
Work is stressing me out big time at the moment so I've been changing my manicures almost daily to keep sane. I wanted something bright today so I went with a super quick and easy candy stripe nails. My stripes are far from perfect because my white striper is getting way too thick even with thinner and it's beyond saving!! Grrrrr. I think it's time for a new one...
I used 2 coats of China Glaze Sugar High for my thumb, China Glaze Peachy Keen for my index fingers, Ulta 3 mojito for my middle fingers, Ulta 3 honolulu for my ring fingers and OPI Suzi Says Feng Shui for my pinkies. I used Kiss Nail Art Paint Striper in white for my stripes.
Thanks for looking as always ladies!! =)
Glitter Gal Glitter Effects collection swatches and review
As you all may know I ADORE glitter polishes even though they're a pain to remove! One can never have enough glitter I say so I was very excited to hear that one of my favourite Aussie brands Glitter Gal were releasing glitters to their range of polishes. The Glitter Effects collection consists of 4 fun glitters and are Big 3 Free. I was so honored when Anna and Kerry asked me again to help swatch their new collection! They are super fun and I think you'll all enjoy them as much as I do =) WARNING: Picture heavy!

Popcorn nails
Happy Sunday guys! I hope you've had a great weekend =) I've been stressed out lately due to work so I took this weekend off and enjoyed myself by doing not much lol. D and I went to see The Expendables 2 today (awesome action and I love Jason Statham!!) and I just had to do popcorn nails inspired by this awesome tutorial by Katy from Nailed It. She does fantastic manis and nail art tutorials!
POPCORN!!! I freaking love popcorn - sweet, buttered, flavoured.. MMMMMMM!
What I used:
I used 2 coats of white creme OPI Alpine Snow as my base and Nail Star Two-Way nail art pen and brush in red to draw vertical lines on each nail. Once that all dried I used China Glaze Lemon Fizz and a large dotting tool to draw small dots close together in a popcorn shape. I then used Essence Colour & Go Sundancer and a smaller sized dotting tool for the kernel shells.
I have a thing for food manicures I think haha. They are just so much fun to shoot and wear! I don't want to take these popcorn nails off. My sis helped me take some of these shots and we had fun doing it even though my room was littered with popcorn bits afterwards LOL.
Have you seen any new movies lately? I hope you like this mani as much as I do! Thanks for looking as always =)
Chefs Gallery, Sydney
I haven't done a foodie post in a long while so here's a little food porn for you all ;) If you follow me on Instagram you'll have seen these already so sorry if you've seen these before! D and I went to one of our favourite Chinese restaurants Chefs Gallery the other night and thanks to the Entertainment Book we had 25% off so we went all out. WOOT! We also got the spicy wontons but they aren't pictured here because D insisted on having those all to himsel and ate them all before I could snap a pic. The food is just too darn good there! I take no responsibility for drooling haha. Macanese style mini burger filled with pork fillet, lettuce, pork floss and mayo: Shredded Peking duck roti: Fried savoury daikon radish cakes with diced Chinese sausage: Steamed chicken and shitake mushroom shui mai topped with a seared scallop and red flying fishing roe: Piggys visit Totoros House - signature "Piggy Face" buns and "Totoro" marshmallow in an edible garden xDDDDD It was such an awesome meal! If you're ever in Sydney it's a must try. Have a fantastic end to the week guys! =)
Teal and gold studded manicure
I bought some studs the other week and they finally arrived so I broke them out and did a quick NOTD. I didn't realise how small the studs would be so I'll be doing another order methinks for the larger sized ones ;) I decided to go for a teal and gold colour combo as I love these two colours together!
I used 2 coats of American Apparel Peacock as my base. Peacock was sent to me by lovely Alice (who needs to blog again!!) in a swap and it's such a great teal creme. My only issue is that I'm not a fan of the American Apparel brushes as I don't find them firm enough meaning I have a tendency to flood my cuticles. I then added 2mm gold square studs in a single row down the middle of each nail.
Have you tried out a studded manicure? I'm always late to the party haha. Thanks for looking as always!

Black and nude filigree manicure
I saw this fabulous NOTD on instagram last week by the super duper talented Deniz and I just had to do my own version. She is so freaking talented and I love seeing her beautiful manis! Her stamped manis especially are just amazing. I didn't feel like coral so I went with my favourite nude creme for accents. I don't know if the design really looks like filigree but hey that's what I'm going with!
I used 2 coats of Glitter Gal Serpent Black* on my index, middle and pinky. On my thumb and ring finger I used 2 coats of Bloom Toni* and stamped filigree-looking design from Bundle Monster plate BM-214 using Konad Special stamping polish in black. I then added some small black studs. I had to stamp the design twice because I messed up the 1st time!
Bloom Toni has to be my absolute favourite nude creme and it's so typical that it's a LE product and it's only a mini size!! Toni is my mannequin nails shade and I love just how elegant it is.
I hope you've all been well! Can you believe it's September already???! Only 3 months until Christmas.. scary! Thanks for looking as always =)
