Cosmetic Cupcake

Hiya ladies! Here's a quick mani I did on the weekend. I did it literally 30 minutes before I jumped into bed! Lol. I didn't get a chance to take proper photos so some Instagram pics that I took at work will have to suffice ;)


I used 2 coats of OPI Steady as She Rose (a gorgeous grey lavender I've been wanting to add to my collection for ages!) on all fingers except ring finger and thumb as a base. I then used Bundle Monster plate BM-205 to stamp full floral design using Konad Special Polish in purple.

On ring fingers and thumbs, I used 2 coats of Illamasqua Baptiste (dark purple shimmer) as a base and stamped the same Bundle Monster image but using China Glaze Passion. Topped it all off with a coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust for some sparkle!!

I have for you today one of the polishes from the limited edition Kit Cosmetics Viva La Color make up collection. The colours in the Viva La Color collection are inspired by Mexican delights and all things bright! The collection includes some very cute palettes and sets in gorgeous bright colours. I love me a good bright polish so I was very excited to be given the opportunity to try 2 of the colours! There are 5 full size polishes and a mini nail polish kit in limited edition shades featuring Kit's signature nail polish formula in the collection.


I'm going to show you Chiquita Pink today. Chiquita Pink is a gorgeous dark pinkish red shade. It's a gorgeous pink and because it's on the darker side works very well in Winter! The formula is fantastic so the polish just glides onto the nail. The brush is firm yet flexible and easy to handle. It dries to a semi matte finish and pictured is 2 coats with no topcoat.

The only downside to this gorgeous pink polish is that it wears terribly unfortunately. The polish lasted barely 12 hours on me before I started getting tipwear and small chips! =( I think I may try a different base and topcoat combo next time I use it and make sure I wrap my tips properly.

OPI Lemon Tonic Manicure/Pedicure range and Avojuice Hand & Body Lotion in Hibiscus Blossom. The Lemon Tonic range features three treatment products - Lemon Tonic Scrub & Mask $29.95; Lemon Tonic Massage lotion $23.95 and Lemon Tonic Mask. Each product features the aroma of sparkling lemon and Yuzu and is available now.

I picked up my 1st Chanel lip products when I went to Hong Kong in May and how I wish I had picked up more! I got 2 of the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine lipsticks and after trying them I can't stop wearing them. They are simply divine!! In my HK haul. I picked up Évasion and also Romance, which happens to be my favourite and the one I'm going to show you today.

Romance is a gorgeous bright pink colour. It shows up well on my pigmented lips and the formula is to die for!!! It feels very similar to a balm as it's very moisturising and it just feels plain fantastic on the lips. It glides onto the lips and lasts for a decent amount of time - roughly about 5 hours on me if I don't eat/drink too much before I need a touch up.


The packaging is typical Chanel - simple, black and white, elegant and luxe. LOVE ♥

Overall: I FREAKING LOVE the Rouge Coco Shine lipsticks. They are a dream to apply and the formula is one of the best I've come across. They just feel sooooooo good on the lips! The colours are beautiful and I feel like a million bucks every time I apply the lipstick. Romance is a gorgeous shade and definitely one for every girl's collection.

Will I repurchase?: I WANT EVERY SHADE. Enough said!! Obviously I can't have every shade so I'm trying to narrow down which ones to ask my mum to bring back for me when she goes to HK in November!! xp
