Deborah Lippmann Stronger
Earlier this year Deborah Lippmann created a custom polish for my fave female singer Kelly Clarkson to wear to the 2013 Grammy's - a gorgeous violet glittery concoction. It was absolutely stunning so I pretty much lost my sh*t when I found out it would actually be launching!!! Her polish is named after her hit song "Stronger" and it's a pretty perfect polish for NYE actually! I finally picked it up when I was in HK but I really really wish Deborah Lippmann was available in Aus!!
What they say:
"A shade fit for pop star royalty — Kelly Clarkson, to be exact—this high-impact violet sings off the nails with oversized flecks of holographic glitter. As Kelly commented, “I love the way Stronger sparkles and captures maximum light on stage. It’s like jewelry for the nails!”
Source
Stronger is filled with red, gold, silver hex and holo glitters in a violet jelly base. Isn't it freaking amazing?!!!!!!!! ♥♥♥♥ My pics don't even do it justice because it just shines in the sun. I couldn't stop staring at my nails when I wore it and I got sooooo many compliments. I layered it over a navy creme here because I like to conserve my Lippmann's so I didn't want to use too many coats but next time I'm just going to use it on its own so I can enjoy the pretty violet base.
The formula is quite thick and gloopy unfortunately so dry time was a little slow. The coverage is OK but it's best to use the dabbing method to place the glitter evenly. 2 coats is pictured over LAKA 81 and topped with 2 coats of Seche Vite.
Close up:
Details: Deborah Lippmann Stronger is available from www.deborahlippmann.com for $19US and from RevolveClothing.com for $21US. I purchased my bottle from Joyce Beauty in Hong Kong for (I think) $230HK.
Even if you aren't a Kelly Clarkson fan I highly recommend purchasing it because it's just gorgeous! Thanks for looking as always!

What's In-Die box December 2013 swatches and review
Helloooooooooo everyone!! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas!! What did you guys get up to? We celebrated Christmas early with my in-laws and then spent Christmas Day with my family and basically I've done not much but just eat and eat and EAT xp I feel like a beached whale haha! It was so nice to just relax and spend some time with the hubby enjoying our first Christmas as a married couple so I pretty much neglected all emails and the blog and even my nails oops. I only did 2 Xmas manis doh! But today I have my swatches and review of some very Christmas-y polishes from the December 2013 What's In-Die box.
So What's In-die Box? It's Australia's first indie nail polish box and it's coordinated by Peita from Peita's Polish. Each month you receive a themed box of 5 indie polishes from 5 different Aussie indie makers and each month the theme changes. December's theme was "The Festive Season" and full of sparkly goodness! The polishes came very carefully wrapped and included a lovely Xmas card, some candy canes and also some pink jelly beans. A very thoughtful touch!
To see the shades in the box keep reading after the jump!

Bobbi Brown Old Hollywood collection swatches and review
Hello ladies! It's that time of year for some glitter and limited edition holiday collections! I haven't done many holiday posts this year unfortunately but today I have the gorgeous 2013 holiday Bobbi Brown Old Hollywood collection for you. Think sultry red lips and nails and smokey blacks with a hint of sparkle! Perfect for those glamorous screen sirens of yesteryear. The collection consists of an eye palette, lip gloss and high shimmer glosses, new cream shadow shades and lip color. Here are my swatches and review of 3 of the products from the collection!
What they say:
"This holiday season, Bobbi Brown introduces Old Hollywood, a collection that celebrates the glitz and glam of iconic American screen sirens. This sultry collection offers something for every type of woman, ensuring that you will always be red carpet worthy."
There are 4 limited edition polishes ($26) in the collection - 2 cremes to complement a sultry smokey eye and 2 fun glitter shades that add texture and a fun festive touch. I was sent Siren Red which is a gorgeous deep cherry red creme that is absolutely perfect for that screen siren look. It's a classic red and a shade that makes you feel a million dollars!
Siren Red is super opaque and dries quickly to a high gloss shine. It was my first time using Bobbi Brown polishes and I was really pleased how well it applied! The brush is easy to use and very minimal cleanup was needed. 2 coats is pictured.
Close up:
Limited edition lip gloss in Siren Red ($44) is a semi-sheer cherry red gloss that will get you red carpet ready! I love a bold lip but I'm often not brave enough to actually wear it out of the house however Siren Red is easy to wear and flattering on my skintone. It gives a high-shine look and contains soothing botanical extracts including Avocado Oil, Vitamins A, C and E and Jojoba Oil to keep lips soft and supple. The lip gloss has a pleasant vanilla scent but the formula is quite sticky which takes a bit of getting used to.
Swatch
There are 3 Long-Wear Cream Shadow Sticks ($44) in the collection with 2 limited edition metallic shades and a new permanent addition - Tuxedo Black which is a matte black. I love cream shadows as they're so easy to use but I don't do so well with applying intense black shades as I always seem to look like I've been punched in the eye haha!
They recommend swiping the cream shadow on your eye and then blending with fingers for an intense look however I prefer to use it as an eyeliner. I apply it with a small angle brush and then smudge it out a little and it lasts a good 7+ hours with no fading or creasing whatsoever which is a miracle for my oily lids! It is pretty much budge proof - I had to scrub at my hand after swatching! You do need to build up the intensity though - below is about 2-3 swipes for an opaque coverage.
Details: The Bobbi Brown Old Hollywood collection is available now from selected David Jones and Myer stores nationally and bobbibrown.com.au.
Do any of the products take your fancy? Most of the products in the collection are limited edition so make sure you get in-store soon! Thanks for looking as always!
The products featured in this post were provided to me for consideration but this in no way influenced my review in any way. As always, my reviews are my 100% honest opinion. My Disclosure Policy can be viewed here.

piCture pOlish Collab-Fest 2013
Happy Monday ladies!! Today I am super excited to show you my piCture pOlish collaboration shade Frosting again for the piCture pOlish Collab-Fest 2013!! Earlier this year I shared Frosting with you which I was amazingly lucky to create with piCture pOlish. All the ladies who have also created amazing collaboration collection shades will be revisiting their shades today as well so you'll be seeing quite a few of these posts =)
Ahhhh I will never get sick of using my collab shade! Frosting is a milky cupcake pink creme filled with small silver, violet and magenta hex glitters and in the mix are some silver hearts. I like to use 3 coats for full glitter coverage (which is pictured in my swatches here) however you could leave it at 2 coats for a softer, milkier look.
I love wearing Frosting on it's own but I couldn't resist adding a bit of cupcake nail art since that was my inspiration for the polish! I used Frosting for the cupcake liner and added some white stripes using a striper brush. Then I used a dotting tool with a dark chocolate brown creme for the cupcake and added a silver heart rhinestone and some red bullions for the sprinkles.
Details: piCture pOlish Frosting and other collaboration shades are available from the piCture pOlish online store and Network members for $12.
I absolutely loved creating my collaboration shade Frosting and I hope you enjoyed having another look at it today!! Make sure you check out the other beautiful collab shades! You can see my original post about Frosting here.

p2 Sand Style Adorable
I've done a complete 180 on sand finish polishes over the last few months and I can't get enough of them at the moment. Yeah a bit late to the party haha! I showed you the lovely package Marte sent me yesterday and I immediately wanted to try out the p2 Sand Style polishes. I couldn't resist trying the gorgeous girly Adorable first!
Adorable is a light pink sand finish polish that contains large silver glitters and microglitters. It is super sparkly and my pics just don't do it justice (dodgy lighting oops)!! It's just stunning and I got soooooooo many compliments. I had to bring it in to work and give my workmate a mani using it lol. It applied really well and the brush was great to use. Dry time was quick and man it wears like iron. I took these photos 3 days after application!! There's some slight tip wear on my index and middle fingers which is pretty reasonable. 2 coats is pictured with no topcoat.
Close up:
What do you think? What are your fave sand finish polishes? Thank you Marte for this beauty! Thanks for looking as always! =)

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Peach of Cake and Tickle Me Pink
These pretty Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Spring Racing polishes are more shades I didn't get a chance to share before I left for HK so better late than never right haha. These are limited edition so you might still be able to find them hopefully! The collection consists of 7 gorgeous Spring shades and I have swatches of two of the polishes from the collection - Peach of Cake and Tickle Me Pink.
What they say:
"Seven Spring Racing inspired shades of premier polish. As the ultimate colour authority, Sally Hansen has always set the trends when it comes to nail shades. This season is no different – the latest Sally Hansen shades are perfect for spring and are designed to make a statement. From pretty pastels to chic neutrals these new limited edition shades of Complete Salon Manicure are sure to have you race-day-ready this Spring."
Peach of Cake is a deep pastel peach creme. Any polish with "cake" in its name should be a winner lol. Sadly Peach of Cake isn't a total winner as it's a bit patchy so I recommend thin coats with a few minutes between each coat. 2 coats is pictured.
Tickle Me Pink is a super pigmented magenta creme. Bright and girlie and a very cute name! 2 coats is pictured because I applied it wonky however 1 even coat would definitely suffice!!
Overall: I have been loving the Complete Salon Manicure range this year and I really enjoyed these pretty Spring shades! They dry quickly to the high gloss shine that I love and they wear pretty well. I wish Peach of Cake had been a little less streaky but it's worth being patient with. Tickle Me Pink is that perfect shade for when you're going out but you have naked nails with only 5 minutes before you have to race out the door. One easy coat and you're done! Clearly I have too much time on my hands because yes I have specific shades in my stash that are dedicated to this category Xp
Details: The Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Spring Racing collection is available from Priceline and Priceline Pharmacy for $9.95 for a limited time only. Take a peek and other Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure shades I've swatched here!
