Anna Sui 108
A quick NOTD for you today from the always fabulous Anna Sui. Oh how I love the products! The rose scent! The packaging! I picked up this gorgeous Anna Sui 108 flakie a few trips back to HK and I'm finally showing you today. Better late than never haha. And it's worth the wait too - it is AH-MAZING!!
Anna Sui 108 is an amazing polish that contains large flakie pieces suspended in a light blue glitter base. The base looks dark in the bottle but it's light blue when swatched. The flakie pieces are quite large actually and border on being actual iridescent glitter pieces. A cross between the two I guess??!! Here I've layered 2 coats over 1 coat of Misa High Waist Hue as underwear and 1 coat of Laka 81.

ReplyDeleteNow that you mention it it does look sort of similar to Across the Universe! It's similar sort of blue and they both give such a gorgeous effect. ATU is one of my favourite glitters!
DeleteOh. My. God. It looks amazing, and for me is a much better simple starry night/galaxy style nail than Deborah Lippman's "Across the Universe".

I think maybe because the glitters in ATU are all uniform whereas 108 it's all different so gives a really awesome effect.
DeleteThis polish has stayed on relatively ok but the other Anna Sui polish I purchased (304 which I swatched here) didn't even last 12hours!!

ReplyDeleteyesstyle.com sell some of the polishes but sadly not 108 from what I can see. For the nail polishes unfortunately I think they will be hard to track down.. will you be traveling to Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, China or Canada anytime soon? ReplyDeleteUnfortunately Chloe the polishes no longer come in these gorgeous rose bottles anymore! They come in these corset bottles which you can see on the offical site here. I don't think 108 is available anymore thoug! =( yesstyle.com sell some of the polishes too

DeleteThat bottle is so cute but it's really not the best for showing off the polish. I would never have guessed it looks so good on the nail.

DeleteHoly cow, that is an AMAZING colour. Far out, I will need to hunt it down!! Any idea which online retailers stock Anna Sui polishes? I had no idea they even did varnish!
ReplyDeleteOh no I created a lemming that possibly can't be fulfilled! I think 108 is discontinued actually as I can't see the shade on their official website. The only online site I know that sells Anna Sui polish is yesstyle.com but they don't have a huge selection of colours.
DeleteYes indeed it does Sera!! I'm pretty sure all her cosmetics smell like roses which I think is fantastic. Maybe not for some though! The scent isn't too strong (not for me anyway because I love rose scented things!) and lasts for a while.
