Hiatus
My posting has been erratic of late what with work and wedding plans etc. To add to that I received some shattering news today and I will be flying to Hong Kong first thing tomorrow morning with my mum and sis to be with my family.
Tentatively I'll be gone for 2 weeks but that may extend to more or I may come home early. I just don't know.
So until then I'm putting the blog (and Twitter/Instagram/FB too probably) on hiatus.

December and Xmas haul!
Soooooo I've kind of been doing a bit of hauling over the last month and a bit Xp I was relatively good on my spending ban for most of the year but I treated myself to a few things at Christmas hehe. The temptation for Christmas and LE collections was just too much! I also received some awesome gifts too yay! The majority of my haul was nail polish (of course) and in about 1 month I bought about 6months worth of products HAHA. FAIL. Here we go!
HARE POLISHES!!!!! *squeal* I lusted after The First collection for SOOOOOOOOO long and when Nikole reformulated them I knew I had to get my hands on them! They are so gorgeous. I also picked up 2 from The Finders Keepers colleciton. There was a little mix up with my order and my polishes were accidentally sent to Mich from The Polish Well but she very kindly sent them on to me and also included a bottle of her franken Sloth for me too which was so sweet! Thank you Mich again =D

Pomegranate Nail Lacquer Improv Show
Today I have the other Pomegranate Lacquer shade that Susan who owns Star Trinkets kindly sent me to try out a little while ago. Purple is one of my favourite shades and I'm on a bit of a purple kick at the moment so Improv Show fit the bill perfectly!
Improv Show is a dark purple with silver, blue and pink shimmer through it. Unfortunately you can't really see the shimmer in my pics (doh!) but it's definitely there and really adds to the gorgeous purple. It's perfect for the cooler months! Application was a breeze and dry time was good. 2 coats is pictured.
Close up:
Details: Pomegranate Nail Lacquers are available from Star Trinkets for $11SGD and from the Pomegranate online store for $9USD.
Thank you Susan for sending me this beauty to try! You can check out my swatches of Pomegranate Lacquer Cardigan here =) Thanks for looking as always!
The product featured in this post was provided to me for consideration but this in no way influenced my review in any way. As always, my reviews are my 100% honest opinion. My Disclosure Policy can be viewed here.

Clinique Chubby Stick in Voluptuous Violet swatches
I LOOOOOOOOOVE Clinique Chubby Sticks so when I went to HK at the end of last year I just had to add another of their shades to my collection. They released 8 new shades in 2012 and I have some quick swatches of Voluptuous Violet for you. You can also check out my full review and swatches of Oversized Orange, Woppin' Watermelon, Super Strawberry, Mega Melon and Whole Lotta Honey.
Voluptuous Violet is a dark violet as the name suggests and looks pretty darn scary in the tube! However, it's very sheer and gives a lovely subtle purple tint to my lips. I love that it's sheer but has enough colour so it's super wearable. I would not be able to pull off proper violet lips haha!
It has the same awesome formula - I really love the balm texture and I find it very moisturising. Of course I couldn't decide which shade to go for but I thought this was the most unique out of the new shades.
Swatch:
Details: The Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balms are available in 16 shades at Clinique counters nationwide and online at www.clinique.com.au for $35.
They are available for purchase in the US from www.clinique.com for $16US and in Hong Kong from www.clinique.com.hk and Clinique counters for $130HK.
I thought I'd leave you with a pic of my Chubby family!!
What are your favourite Chubby Stick shades? Thanks for looking as always!!

Skulls and studs manicure
Happy New Year everyone!!! Can you believe it's 2013 already??? OMG! I hope you all had a fabulous Xmas and NYE =) The last few weeks have been absolutely mad hence the lack of posts but I've finally got a new post for you today. I recently hauled some indie items which included a few products from Vivid Lacquer. I was excited to get my hands on the stamping plate VL 001 which has a full skull image (so I can do manis for my skull loving friends Anita and Ange!) and other cute designs too. This mani doubled as my NYE mani as I didn't get time to do my nails doh!
What I used:
Thumb: I used 2 coats of OPI Glitzerland and Konad Special polish in black to stamp.
Index: I used 2 coats of Ulta 3 Black Satin and Konad Special polish in white to stamp.
Middle finger: I used 2 coats of OPI Alpine Snow and added 2mm square gold studs down the centre.
Ring finger: I used 2 coats of Ulta 3 Black Satin and I used China Glaze Passion to stamp.
Pinky: I used 2 coats of China Glaze Midnight Kiss as my base and added 1.5mm black round studs for a studded framed nail.
I treated myself to a new DSLR and macro lens for Xmas and I'm still getting used to it so my pics will be a bit all over the shop for the time being! Bear with me lol. I hope you're all having a fantastic start to the year! Thanks for looking as always =)
