Essie Van D'Go swatches
Today I have swatches for you of Essie Van D'Go (as seen in my Spring fever manicure ) which is from the Essie Spring 2010 collection. Adore Beauty very kindly allowed me to choose two products to review a few weeks back and I took the opportunity to choose some Spring colours! Essie do some of the best girlie colours out there in my opinion and I always covert their Spring collections as the shades are just so sweet. You know me and pretty pastels!
Van D'Go is a gorgeous pinky peach creme. I think it's just perfect for Spring! I love the hint of pink in it as it softens the colour. Application was to be expected - as it's a pastel colour the 1st two coats were streaky but evened out with a thicker 3rd coat. With three coats the colour is somewhat darker than the bottle colour though. Dry time was OK and it dried to a high gloss finish as most Essie polishes do.
Close up:
Details: Essie nail polishes can be purchased online from Adore Beauty and Myer and Hairhouse Warehouse stores nationally for $18.95.
US ladies can purchase Essie nail polishes from the Essie online store for $8US.
I know Van D'Go is going to be a colour I'll be wearing a lot for Spring/Summer! What's your must have colours for the warmer seasons?
Thanks for looking as always! Don't forget to enter my Pink for October giveaway here!
The product featured in this post was sent to me for consideration but this in no way influenced my review in any way. As always, my reviews are my 100% honest opinion. My Disclosure Policy can be viewed here.

Your nails always look sooooooooo perfect! You put me to shame! :(
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!!!!
Love this shade! It's actually the only Essie I own in my stash. I'm wearing it on my toes right now ^^
ReplyDeleteHow long do Essie polishes last on you? They chip on my after 1 day no matter what I try :(
ReplyDeleteOoh I have this one! I found it to be streaky too with the first coat however I didn't bother with a second or third coat. Now that you've mentioned that it evened out on the third coat, I'll make sure I apply more coats next time :) Thanks 'chelle~ this is definitely a pretty spring/summer shade hehe
ReplyDeleteLovely colour. I only recently bought my first ever Essie polish because of all the beautiful Essie colours showcased on your blog. I love pretty pinks like this, they make me feel so girly and polished. xx
ReplyDeleteThat colour is to die for, I'm definitely going to get it. I can see it look great with a tan and on pasty skin (like I have now!).
ReplyDeleteSO pretty! Damn Chelle, your swatches always put me to shame xx
ReplyDeleteI love this colour, I've been eyeing it off for ages but I think you've convinced me that I need it for summer!
ReplyDeleteA really cute pink!
ReplyDeleteI love it!
@Jaime: *blush* Awww thanks Jaime! It's only because I change my polish SO often I've had way too much practise haha.
ReplyDelete@Emily: Oooh I think I'll use it next for my pedi too! I think you need more Essie's in your collection btw ;)
@A*: I find Essie polishes wear pretty well on me actually. Usually about 3days? I'm not the best one to ask though because I change my polish every 2nd day but when I have kept my polish on for longer it's lasted!
ReplyDeleteDisappointing to hear it doesn't wear well on you =(
@Jennifer: Definitely try more coats or perhaps do thicker coats next time. I find with lighter shades you usually need 3 coats unfortunately.
@Jennifer.: EEK that's so awesome to hear that I enabled you to buy Essie polishes!! =D I love the way these colours look too. So pretty and girlie!
ReplyDelete@Lilit: Lol I have pasty skin all year round so don't worry! Yes definitely get it! It would look fabulous on you =)
@Angie: Awwww thanks gorgeous <3 Sweet n Salty!!
ReplyDelete@Megan: YAY another person convinced!! Definitely get your hands on Van D'Go Megan!
Aww, that color looks darling on you! A flawless creme manicure is so classic and pretty. Though I'm sure it would also look great with white lace or bow designs.
