Lynnderella Ruby Passion
ARGH it feels like ages since I last posted!! I have so much to show you guys but I have writer's block - I've prepped all these photos for posts but the words that go with them just aren't coming to me! DOH. Today I have some quick swatches of Lynnderella Ruby Passion which is another gorgeous glitter from the Talismans and Birthstones collection.
Ruby Passion (July) is made up of different sized square, hex, diamond and round magenta, red, purple and rose glitters in a pink-shimmered clear base.
Because there are quite a few larger sized glitters in it I was pleasantly surprised at how well it applied. Coverage was good and the glitters applied evenly on the nail. I love the colours in Ruby Passion and I think I'll use it over a lighter base next time - like a white or pink creme so the glitters stand out more. I used 2 coats over 2 coats of Kester Black Poppy.

Details: Lynnderella polishes can be purchased from Glitter Connect for $24.95 for Aussie ladies (make sure you check out the Glitter Connect Facebook page for the latest Lynnderella updates!), Lynnderella.com for US ladies and Norway Nails for European ladies.
You can check out my other Lynnderella swatches here. Thanks for looking as always! =)

Lynnderella Aquamarine Calm
Hi ladies! Can you believe the weekend is over already?! 2 days off is never enough! I thought I'd start the week off with some glitter because glitter instantly makes things better xp If you've been reading my blog for awhile now you'll know how much I absolutely adore Lynnderella polishes!! I was kindly sent some new Lynnderella's to try out recently and I'll be sharing my swatches with you over the coming weeks! Today I have Aquamarine Calm for you from the Talismans and Birthstones collection =)
Aquamarine Calm contains a mix of light cyan hex, diamond and square glitters with a smattering of holographic silver star and half moon glitter in a turquoise shimmer base.
Isn't it just gorgeous!! I love the different sized glitters in the shimmer base and I'm just a sucker for cyan/turquoise/teal glitters lol. I found it a bit difficult to get the half moons and stars onto the nail but overall it applied pretty well. I used 2 coats of Aquamarine Calm over 2 coats of Kester Black Blueberry Tart topped with Seche Vite.

Models Prefer Beauty to Go nail enamels - Little Black Dress and Star Dust
Hi ladies! I've been neglecting the blog lately unfortunately as I haven't been in the mood to do much blogging. But I'm getting my mojo back slowly don't worry ;) I love a good bargain so I couldn't go past the Models Prefer Beauty to Go sets a while back. They have so many cute sets that are on trend and for such a good price! There are a couple of different colour combos and sets available but I picked up the Little Black Dress and Star Dust combo because I am loving the black and white toppers.
Star Dust and LBD!
Little Black Dress is a super opaque black creme that dries to a wax look finish. The formula applies really well and you could get away with 1 coat however I used 2 coats which is pictured.
It has the potential to be a one coater but unfortunately the brush is absolutely terrible! I found it way too thick and the shape is too squoval and it made it impossible to get a clean finish. These swatch pics are my 2nd attempt at trying to apply the polish! Dry time is a little slow too I found.
Star Dust contains black and white hex and bar glitter in a black base. I didn't know it was in a black base until I swatched it over white! It applies a little sparse but it's not too bad - I found swirling the brush around in the bottle picked up more glitters making it easier to get them on the nail. 2 coats is pictured over 2 coats of Little Black Dress.
Here it is over a few different bases so you can see clearly what the glitters look like. From L-R: OPI Alpine Snow, Models Prefer Little Black Dress, Rescue Beauty Lounge Concrete Jungle and Alpine Snow again.
Overall: I'm a little disappointed but LBD and Star Dust are a cute combination! I wish the brush was better so LBD could apply easily and also that Star Dust was in a clear base so I could apply it over pastel colours without the black tint. But for $5 it's not too bad!
Details: The Models Prefer Beauty to Go set in Little Black Dress and Star Dust are available from Priceline for $5.
Thanks for looking as always! =)
